Fear was comfort: A Blackout Poem

I "wrote" this while participating in one of the summer workshops. I learned about blackout poems where you pick a page in a book, a newspaper/magazine article, maybe even a blog and blackout words. When you are done you will have a poem. The first thing I grabbed was the book I was reading at the time: "My Life on the Road" by Gloria Steinem.

My copy of "My Life on the Road".

I did not blackout the words but decided to just focus on some and write them down in the order I saw them.

Fear was comfort

Fear was comfort.

Nights almost dawn.

Ancient magic talking circles

floods them, giving birth.

If you would like to purchase your own copy, I added links below. I do not receive any commission. I just like to share where you can find it.
